I can't believe that next week is the last week of summer camps for Dragon Art. I go back to working at the school after that.(We will still offer classes evenings and weekends when school starts.)) Next week is Jewelry camp, Illustration Camp, and Puppet camp. I can't wait to see what everyone creates.

Pictures of Instrument Camp are now view-able!

In instrument camp we made three instruments. A whistle, a three in one instrument with a rasp, rattle, and shekere, and a caxixi.

Pictures for Drawing Camp have been uploaded!

Karylynn Keppol taught a beginning drawing camp. Lessons included: anatomy, portraits, cross hatching, grid work, charcoal still lifes, and scratch art. Check out the pictures by clicking the Drawing Camp hyper link.

Painting Camp and Family Clay night.

Today was the second day of Painting Camp. We are having fun finding out about different artists and trying to paint like them. Today we took notes on paper we aged by staining it with tea, and painted on canvas paper. Yesterday, we learned about color theory and painted color wheels.

Tonight at Family Clay Night, we made clay tools from nails, knitting needles, and regular needles. We used a tube cutter and sculpty to fashion the tools and make handles.

Power of Florence Pictures have been added.

Family Clay night was really fun tonight.

Doll making camp and Clay camp start tomorrow. I have several spots left if you know people who want to come. Please sign up in the morning. Thanks.
